About Attorney Analisa Nazareno

 Attorney Analisa Nazareno immigrated from the Philippines as a child and grew up in the immigrant suburbs of Los Angeles, California.​Analisa graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she gained practical experience in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, served as an editor and writer for the St. Mary’s Law Journal, founded the Immigration Law Students Association, and earned the Women in Law Leadership Award and Pro Bono and Public Service certificate. Analisa interned at the Executive Office of Immigration Review, served as a clerk in the Pearsall Immigration Court; the Fourth Court of Appeals, worked for Justice Luz Elena Chapa; the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund on civil rights; and American Gateways, doing asylum rights workshops for women in immigration detention facilities in South Texas.
Before beginning her law career, Analisa worked as a journalist and communications consultant.  She wrote for the Miami Herald, the San Antonio Express-News, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in History, focusing on labor and immigration, and a minor in journalism.
Analisa is married and the mother of two children, Mia Juliet and Nicolás Luis.
